Friday 22nd January 2010

On Friday 22nd January 140 Y9 students were involved in the MFL Awareness event. The morning was a great success and every single student prepared and performed a short presentation on the stage. Each performance was marked by a panel of judges and all were of a very high standard.

Here are a few of the comments from the students themselves

“I really enjoyed the MFL morning, it was fun and interesting. My favourite part was listening to the projects at the end. It also helped me to decide whether to take a language.” Kennedy Meredith

“The MFL morning made languages more fun for me and made me aware of the importance of having a GCSE language. I liked performing my song – it was amazing.”  Jordan Castley

“I found it very useful and helpful …I was going to carry on with French anyway but this persuaded me to definitely learn another new language as well.”  Ellie Holland

“The MFL morning was very helpful and made me understand how important taking a language is.”  Adam Peel Greene

“The MFL morning was fun. I enjoyed doing the activities and it helped me think more carefully about choosing MFL as an option.”  Lucy Collins
